Bodhi Dhamma Buddhist Association (Bendigo) Inc is a charity organisation registered with Australian Charities and Not-for-profits Commission (ACNC) started by the Sri Lankan community living in Bendigo area. The organization had the privilege to bring a direct sapling of the sacred Jaya Sri Maha Bodhi in Anuradhapura, Sri Lanka to Australia for the first time. Construction of the Bodhi Dhamma Vihara within The Great Stupa of Universal Compassion in Bendigo was started by our organisation to provide an open space for interested Buddhists and non-Buddhists alike to fulfill their spiritual needs as well as to learn and experience the rich Buddhist civilisation and cultural heritage of Sri Lanka.
